Caring For One Another... Whatever The Need.

In times like these, we need each other. There is no greater satisfaction when we give to help someone less fortunate than ourselves. In the end, not one of us is 100% safe and secure from tragic circumstances either economically or from natural disasters. Fire, floods, severe weather, a shock wave on Wallstreet or any unforeseen element in life could bring us to a point of need. If the tables ever turn, we can be sure that whatever we have sown, we will also reap. Any gesture of kindness and generosity we have done in the past will no doubt, one day come back to bless us! Some call it "karma" others call it "a balance of ying yang" but we prefer to use the term "the principle of sowing and reaping". It is truly a dynamic truth that can only be understood when we actually apply it to our lives. It is truly incredible that there are so many scriptures that teach this principle and how by helping others less fortunate, we become blessed in this life with joy and true riches.

My Brother´s Keeper Charities & Missions is dedicated to providing a network of people whose greatest insurance isn´t in an uncertain policy or a 401k plan... but in a humanitarian care package of people helping people. We are committed to bring people together, networking with those who are willing and caring to help with those who are in dire need of help. Whatever the need, be it food, clothing, shelter, education and job training, health care, addiction relief or even spiritual counseling, we believe that we truly are our brother´s keeper. This is our mission and mandate. This is our calling before both Heaven and earth, before both God and man. We believe it is your calling as well. Search your heart deep enough and you´ll see compassion and unselfish caring are original traits within each one of us. After all, we were created in the image of our loving Creator and truly we are all family... we are all in this together. We need each other! We are all our brother´s keeper!

My Brother´s Keeper Charities & Missions is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization under Metro Community Assistance, Inc. Under this charter, we have been helping provide for the real needs of people for over ten years. We currently have a food and clothing pantry, alongside a thrift store which serves the local communities of Bartow & Cobb counties in Georgia but has served to help charities and missions across the world. We have recently changed directors and board members due to unfortunate health issues with the previous executive directors, Linda & Ken Denney. They will be missed and we know that God goes with them and will bless them in their next endeavor. They have graciously committed to staying on with us as advisory board members. Heath Goodman and his wife Marivania have been named the new executive directors. Their vision for My Brother´s Keeper Charities & Missions under Metro Community Assistance, Inc is almost identical to the vision that Linda & Ken had for the nonprofit. They will only seek to enhance and extend the existing charities and missions already in place.

Some of the vision under Heath and Marivania´s leadership include:

1. A Well Efficient Food Pantry Program That Benefits Even More People Extending To Other Locations/Demographics.

2. A Clothing Pantry Program To Offer Decent Free Clothing To Anyone Who Needs It.

3.  A Thrift Store That Not Only Helps The Community With Inexpensive Household Items But Generates Enough Revenue To Suppliment and/or Fund It´s Other Charities & Missions.

4. A Place That Provides Job Training and Job Placement For The Unemployed.

5. A Place That Offers Free Or Discounted School Tuition To Learn A Needed Trade In The Workforce.

6. A Place That Can Direct Substance Abuse Victims To Real Help And Recovery.

7. A Temporary Shelter For Families in Crisis.

8. A Spiritual Counseling Center (Christian Based) For Those Seeking Spiritual Help.

9. A Network Building System of People Who Volunteer Their Skills And Resources For Those In Need Of It.

10. A Well Trained Volunteer Group To Assist in Implementing/Accomplishing All MBK Charities & Missions.

11. A Fundraising Partner With Other Nonprofit Organizations and Churches To See Their Visions and Goals Met.

12. An Well Established Organization That Opens Up Additional Facilities In Other Prime/Needy Locations.
